Laura Ortagus, 89, of St. Augustine, Fla., went home to be with her Savior on Nov. 28, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Melvin; daughter Mary; and son Allan.

She will be lovingly missed by her brother, Douglas Sweeting; sons, William, James, Marshall, Leslie and Richard; daughters, Louise and Lillian; 25 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Craig Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, from 9 to 10 a.m., with the service starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sampson Cemetery.

Craig Funeral Home, Crematory Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements.
