She married Robert "Scates" Lewis on January 5, 1921, in Onawa, Iowa. The couple farmed for 54 years, their entire married life.
In November 1975, after the death of her husband, Pearl moved into Anthon. She entered the Good Samaritan Center in Holstein in December 1995. She was a member of Anthon United Methodist Church and Good Neighbor Club. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Roberta (Mrs. Marvin) Petersen of Anthon and Barbara (Mrs. Charles) Buckley of Maurice, Iowa; a son and his wife, Robert and wife Eleanore of Correctionville, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Roy Admire and George Chesley Admire, a sister, Maud (Mrs. Jim) Davis, two sons-in-law and a great-grandson.
Pearl passed away at Holstein, Iowa, on July 25, 2000. Services were held at the Anthon United Methodist Church with Rev. Arnold Herbst officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon, under direction of the Armstrong Funeral Home of Anthon.
