Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Maddeline Zappile Ferrari and the wife of the late Francis White, who died in 1993.
Angelina was a 1935 graduate of Ocean City, NJ High School and in 1939 graduated from the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing.
She was employed for fifteen years as a nurse with the former Pennsylvania Malleable Foundry, retiring in 1980.
Angelina was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a member of the former St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary. Among her other interests were crossword puzzles, camping, and square dancing and especially reading mystery books.
She served as a First Lieutenant in the U. S. Army Nurses Corps during WWII in the European Theatre of Operation from 1942-46.
Four sons, John, Ed and James, all of Lancaster, and Charles, Fayetteville, GA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Catherine Pittaluga, Northfield, NJ survive Angelina. Two brothers, Frank and Al Ferrari, and two sisters, Carmella and Florence Ferrari, preceded her in death.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Angelina's Life Celebration Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA, on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Father Michael Grab, celebrant. Final commendation and farewell in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff, Inc., 234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, on Wednesday from 7-9:00 PM and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass.
