Services for F. Mike Boettcher, 76, of 1816 18th St., Moline, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 246, Moline.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mike Boettcher was born June 25, 1921, to Lloyd and Mildred Lantz Boettcher, in Davenport. He married Jean Staney Feb. 1, 1946, in Clinton, Iowa.
He served in the South Pacific in the Marine Corps during World War II.
He was employed as a maintenance supervisor and carpenter for the Davenport YMCA for 10 years, retiring in 1964.
He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, Rock Island, and enjoyed sharing the Gospel with friends. He played shortstop and first base in semipro baseball and was an IAA referee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Boettcher.
