Funeral services for Thomas A. Howard Sr., 89, 3620 Kentucky avenue, Holladay, oldest male resident of Holladay, who died Friday at his home of causes incident to age, will be conducted Monday Noon in Mt. Olympus LDS ward chapel, 4119 South Fifth West street, Murray, by Wehrlie D. Pack, bishop.
Friends may call at the home of a son, Wilford A. Howard, 4670 Wander lane, Monday from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m.
A son of William and Elizabeth A. Howard, he was born October 30, 1854 in Salt Lake City, and was reared in Holladay. A retired farmer, Mr. Howard had been employed by Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad company before he operated his farm. Mr. Howard had resided in Lehi and fulfilled a mission to England for the LDS church. He was an active member of the Holladay LDS ward until he was 6o years old. His wife, Sarah E. Howard, died in 1937. Survivors include six sons, Thomas A. Jr., Clement F., Newell E., Victor E., and Wilford A. Howard, all of Holladay, and John M. Howard, Smithfield: 20 Grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Holladay cemetery.
