Register of Deaths Book 1 page 63 Jasper County Clerk records Entry 3 905, dated April 13, 1882, states date of death as March 23, and his age as 27 or year of birth is between April 1855 and April 1856. Cause of death listed as Ulcer of Throat (possibly cancer?).

I, Lee Stewart Neilsen, visited Bethel Cemetery in Oct 1994 and visited the grave of George Stewart, his parents Jonathan Stewart and Mary Jane Redmon Stewart. also his siblings Julia Stewart Cravens and brothers Chris and Merit. Right near their grave is a large Cypress tree that may have been planted at the same time of these children's deaths as it is right next to their graves.
