Harriet E. Adcock, 88, Pensacola, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ladora.
Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the New York Police and Firefighters Widows and Children Fund, P.O. Box 3713, Grand Central Station, New York, N.Y. 10163.
Harriet E. Adcock was the sixth of seven children born to Thomas and Jennie Tanner, Ladora. She had careers in cosmetology for 30 years and in real estate for 20 years.
She will be remembered for her love of friends, family and people in general. We will miss her wonderful smile, her fierce desire for independence, her spirit of adventure and her love of bingo.

At the time of her death, she was survived by 3 daughters, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Harriet's memorial stone was placed on one of the plots of Albert Tanner's, Ohio Cem., Iowa Co., IA, but her ashes were scattered on the farm where she grew up near Genoa Bluffs, Sumner Twp., Iowa Co., IA.
