Charles H. Landon passed on to bigger and better things May 12, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital. Born to William F. and Bessie V. Hess Landon, in Oak Creek, Colorado on January 18, 1915, Charlie latterly laughed his way through life, loving life itself and enjoying his many friends. A special thanks goes out to many sweet spirited folks that touched his life in a positive manner. He cherished all of you. At 94, he amused those on the other side to exercise patience as he took his sweet time to make that journey. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. Landon and sisters, Hilma (Beda) Towndrew and Margaret M. Soule. Surviving are one daughter, Darlene Hillen; grandson, Brian Burton; great grandson, Lian Burton; brothers, William W. Landon and Clyde A. (Elise) Landon; sister, Ida Mae Adams, and sister-in-law, Marian Landon. A celebration of Charlie's life will be held at the Redlands Community Church 2327 Broadway, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 15, 2009, with interment to follow at Memorial Garden Cemetery.
