Theodore Farley, Jr. was the eldest sone of Theodore Farley, Sr. and Matilda Mann. He was born February 2, 1880 in a wagon box on a small cedar covered hill (called Cedar Ridge) about 8 or 10 miles South of the little town of Beaver, Utah.

His parents were on their way to Ogden, Utah, where his father was taking his wife to meet his folks for the first time. They stayed in Beaver until his mother became stronger, then went on to Ogden and visited a short time with his father's folks.

They returned to Snowflake Arizona, where they remained until Theodore was 15 years of age. The family then sold everything they had and moved to Provo Bench, Utah, where Theodore has spent the rest of his life.

His childhood was spent in Snowflake, Arizona, where he lived with his folks in a two room log home built by his father. Later as their family grew, two more rooms were added.

There was a cellar dug under the cabin with an outside entrance. A huge fireplace was used for both heating and cooking. The furniture consisted of home-made chairs, a table and bedsteads with straw mattresses which were re-filled with new straw each year at the threshing time.

Children:
James Theodore Farley (1907-1977)
Mildred Farley (1909-)
Irwin Lamar Farley (1911-1989)
Fenton Loveless Farley (1914-1990)
Hazel Farley (1916-2001)
Eva Phyllis Farley (1919-1988)
