HOBART, IN

Michael A. Truax, age 54, of Hobart, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 at his residence.
He was known as Kibbles the Clown. He belonged to Portage Garden Club. Image Makers Camera Club. Porter Co. Amateur Radio Club (Call KB90CE) Duneland Wood Carvers, Steel Headers Fishing and Conservation. He wrote articles for the Post, Herald News Group and Hobart Gazette. He worked at the Fish Frys at Assumption Parish and was a Candidate for the Church Council.
Mr. Truax was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Truax.
Survived by wife, Debra Truax of Hobart; mother, Rose (Rendina) Truax of Schererville; two brothers: Gerald (Sharon) Truax of Pennsylvania and Patrick (Linda) Truax of Valparaiso; sister, Michelle (Dr. Randolph) Roberts of Schererville; mother-in-law, Ruth Carden of Merrillville; sister-in- law, Brenda (James) Dyzacky of Merrillville; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St., Merrillville. Funeral service at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home, 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Church with Rev. Joseph Zuziak officiating.
Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the family's choice.
