George William Johnson, aged 73 years, a retired railroad engineer, died at his home in Barthlows, Saturday afternoon about 4 o'clock.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Cora Hood Johnson; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Miss, Jefferson; Mrs. Margaret M. Murry, New London; Miss Catherine F. Johnson, Reisterstown; three sons, George W., Los Angeles; Edward F., Baltimore; Charles R. Johnson, U. S. Navy, Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Charles Fox, and a brother, Harry Johnson, Frederick.
The deceased was a son of Thomas and Mary Green Johnson of Frederick County.
Services will be conducted from the funeral home at New Market, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Leon F. Vauthier officiating. Interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. William E. Falconer, funeral director.
