Sally's parents were Abraham Kirby and Eunice Starkweather.

She married David Yale November 11, 1801 in Lanesborough, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Apparently she and David, plus her parents, moved to Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont shortly after David and Sally were married because they show up in both the 1810 and 1820 Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont federal censuses. David Yale jumped from a wagon in January 1826 and somehow, in the process, his leg got caught in the reins, which caused the wagon to run over his leg. His leg was amputated, but he died shortly thereafter.

Sally next married Isaac Landon, who was her former brother-in-law. Isaac's first wife, Anna Yale-Landon, was Sally's first husband's sister. Anna Yale-Landon died in September 1842, and Isaac and Sally then married in December 1842. In 1850, Sally and Isaac Landon lived in Cornwall, Addison County, Vermont. Isaac passed away sometime between 1850 and 1860 as Sally Landon next lived in Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont in 1860.

Sally is buried next to her first husband, David Yale, in Middlebury, Vermont.
