Cecilia C. Markle, 151 E. Third St. Palisade, died Sunday at Community Hospital. She was 60.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary with the Rev. A. J. Bertrand officiating.


Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Grand Junction.

Mrs. Markle was a homemaker. She had lived in the Grand Junction area for 30 years, after moving from Columbus, Neb.


She was born June 30, 1930, in Ashton, Neb. to Alexander and Clara Grudzinski Cynova.

She grew up and attended schools in Nebraska.

She married Jess Markle in Grand Junction. He died in 1976 in Grand Junction.

Mrs. Markle was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grand Junction.


Survivors include two daughters, Sandi Brown of Glenwood Springs and Michelle Markle of Pueblo: four brothers, Bruno Cynova and David Cynova, both of Kansas, and Ralph Cynova and Leon Cynova, both of Nebraska: and a sister, Frances Evans of Clifton.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, in care of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 1250 E. Sherwood Drive, Grand Junction 81501.


Was married to Edward Joseph Selzer, Jr. 26 Oct 1949 in Columbus, Platte Co., NE. They later divorced.
