Kathleen Goebel was the wife of Louis Goebel, founder of Goebel's Lion Farm in Thousand Oaks, Calif., which later became Jungleland. She met Louis Goebel shortly after he opened his animal park. She lived near the property, and went over to complain about the noise. Six months later, they were married, on June 20, 1928.
