Mrs. Emma Zunker Timm was born Nov. 14, 1873, in Germany. She was one of ten children and in 1884 came to this country with her parents. They settled in Carlos township in Douglas county. She was married to Herman Timm July 8, 1897, in Alexandria. After their marriage they moved to West Miltona where she has lived since. Mrs. Timm was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran church of West Miltona for 57 years and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid.
Surviving besides her husband are seven children. The children are: Mrs. Joe (Laura) Bothun of Nelson, Albert of Miltona, Mrs. Walter (Viola) Leatherman of Bruce, Wis., Emil of St. Paul, Mrs. Robert (Agnes) Henning of Miltona, Mrs. Paul (Clara) Lemke of Alexandria, and Fred of Littleton, Colo. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mike Timm of Minot, N.D., and two brothers, Richard Zunker of Alexandria and William Zunker of Carlos.
