Dr Harris graduated from the Eclectic Medical Institute in Cincinnati in 1877.

Was wed in May 1881. They had one child, Florence, still living in 1894 (Commemorative and Biographical Record of Huron and Lorain, Ohio. 1894)

Dr Harris committed suicide by surgeon's knife to his throat. No reason has been ascertained.
