Beulah Burnell was born near Dundas Aug. 16, 1850 and passed away Nov. 18, 1932, aged 82 years, three months and 12 days. She was married to George Butler, March 2, 1869, and lived near Claremont with her husband until he died, Dec. 18, 1922. To this union, one daughter and three sons were born. Two sons preceded her in death. She professed faith in Jesus Christ over 50 years ago and united with the Asbury M.E. Church, where she kept her membership until death, althought since moving to Olney nine years ago she attended the West Main Christian church occasionally, as it has been her preference in later years. She fell and broke her hip six weeks ago, then developed pneumonia. One month ago, her only brother, Quintes Burnell preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her great loss, a daughter, Mrs. Bertha E. Frost and a son Burton E. Butler, of Olney, five grandchildren, Mrs. Jean Fatheree and George H. Stoltz of Olney, Mrs. June Neese of near Claremont, Mrs. Maretta N. Baldwin of St. Louis, Mo, and Trail Butler of the U.S. Navy and ll great grandchildren, one half brother, Warren Musgrove of Cimarron, Kan, and a half sister, Mrs. Philena Essinger of Grant, New Mexico, and a host of other relatives and friends. "Weep not that her toils are over, Weep not that her race is run, God grant that we may rest as calmly, When our work , like hers, is done; 'Til then we yield with gladness, And rest in the sweet assurance, He giveth; his beloved ones sleep." Funeral services were held at the West Main Christian church by Rev. A.O. Jacobs. Interment in Haven Hill cemetery.
