Mrs. Mary Stuber Dies Here Sunday
Mrs. Mary Swain Stuber, 87, widow of James Philip Stuber, died Sunday at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at Newton Memorial hospital. She had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Morris memorial chapel with Rev. Harold Kieler and Rev. H.C. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Wilmot cemetery.

Mrs. Stuber was born Jan. 22, 1876 in Cowley county, 1 of 11 children of Arthur and Nola Swain. She was married June 8, 1911 to James P. Stuber, who died June 25, 1929. She was a graduate of St. John's college.

She was a member of Grace Methodist church, DAR, Ladies of G.A.R., Gold Star Mothers, Creative Writers WCTU, U.S. Army Mothers and Rossetti Circle.

Survivors include a son, James Arthur Stuber of Milley Valley, Calif.; 3 stepchildren, Ray Stuber, Lee Stuber and Mrs. Robert Barnett of Winfield; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren; and 3 nieces and nephews which she reared in her home, Paul Stuber of Wilmot, Philip Stuber of California and Mrs. Louise Wollard of Oklahoma City; 2 sisters, Mrs. Tracy Hildebrand of Winfield and Mrs. Ruth Cologne of Philadelphia; a brother, Harry Swain of San Francisco.

A son, Lovell Swain Stuber, preceded her in death, and 2 stepsons, Ralph and Durward Stuber.
