10/8/1998- The Purcell Register:

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Marilyn L. Dunlap, 63, of Lexington, will be held today (Thursday) Oct 8, at 10am, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic church with Father William Ross officiating. Interment will be in the Lexington Catholic cemetery under direction of Little's funeral home in Purcell. A Rosary is scheduled to be held Wednesday, Oct 7, at 7pm, at Little's funeral home chapel. Mrs Dunlap died Oct 5 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.

She was born 9/16/1935, the second of four children born to Theodore Edward Schmitz & Dorothy Johanna Ille Schmitz. She was reared in the Lexington area and graduated from Lexington High school. After high school, she moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., where she met a young military man, Hank Dunlap. Because of her husband's military career, they lived overseas and in many states. They returned to Lexington in 1975. Mrs Dunlap was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic church and had been active in the Ladies Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Major Henry Allen Dunlap in 1996, and her sister & brother-in-law, Pat & Larry Kozik.

Survivors include 3 sons, David Blaine Dunlap of Lexington, Craig Dunlap & wife Traci and Mike Dunlap, all of Lexington, 2 brothers, John Schmitz of Oklahoma City and Steve Schmitz & wife Connie of Lexington, and 3 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Blaine Dunlap, Craig Dunlap, Mike Dunlap, Steve Schmitz, and John Schmitz.
