Wake services for James William Feuerborn, 66, of Norman were held 1/14/2003 at Wilson-Little funeral home chapel with Rev Tom Boyer and Chaplain Harry Smith officiating. Services were under direction of Wilson-Little funeral home. Mr Feuerborn died 1/13/2003 at his home in Norman.
He was born 10/10/1936 north of Lexington in the Slaughterville community, the oldest of 7 children of William Frank Feuerborn and Juanita Bullock Feuerborn. He was reared on a farm east of Slaughterville and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norman. With his parent's consent, he entered the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served several years during the Korean conflict. He served a total of 8 years, including reserve years, before being honorably discharged in 1967. He lived in New York most of his life, where he met and married Erica Schmucki in 1965. He worked as a camera technician most of his life before retiring and moving back to Norman in 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charlie Feuerborn.
Survivors include 1 son, James Feuerborn Jr & his wife Jeanine of Glen Head, NY., a daughter, Michelle Feuerborn of Glen Head, a companion, Judy Noyes of Purcell, 2 brothers, Tom Feuerborn & his wife Vicki of Franklin, TN., and Michael Feuerborn and his wife Felicia of Tulsa, 3 sisters, Loretta Antonelli of McCloud, and Martha Kaye Davis and Pricilla Robbins, both of Norman, a sister-in-law, Patricia Feuerborn of Norman and 1 aunt, Agnes Feuerborn of Lexington.
