Funeral services for Patricia Ann "Patty" Ruiz, 60, of Jasper will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home, Jasper.
Patty died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at her home in Jasper, Texas. Patty was born to Theodore Ernest DOLLAR and Dorothy Louise ROGERS, on April 22, 1949 in Galveston, Texas, and a longtime Jasper resident. She attended Ball High School in Galveston, Galveston Community College and Angelina College. She owned and operated Kiddie Corral for over 15 years in Jasper.
Survivors include her sons Michael Anthony Selph of Newton, Texas & Christopher Joel Ruiz of Jasper, Texas; a sister Dottie Hurley of Jasper; 10 grandchildren; also survived by 2 nieces & 2 nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Dollar; one son, Jody Curtis Selph; & a sister, Katherine Burton.
Memorials may be made to Jerusalem Fund o/c of Hillcrest Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home, Jasper.
