Pioneer Tylerite Dies Saturday A well-known East Texas pioneer and resident of Tyler for 55 years, Samuel Fain, 86, died at 3:40 a.m.' Saturday at his home, 308 West Wilson street. He was born at Larissa, Texas, but came to Tyler when he was a young man. He was an accountant here for several Tyler business concerns before he retired. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. George L. Boyden of Biloxi, three sons, J. W. Fain of Hollywood, A. W. Fain of Little Rock, and J. M. Fain of Gilmore, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Fain was a life member of the Presbyterian Church and held a membership of over years in the Knights of Pythias Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Thorndike James Pool Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Robert Hill, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here, officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
