DIED
At her residence in West Connersville, on the 3d inst., MRS. ELIZA SCOFIELD, wife of Sherman Scofield, in the 43d year of her age.
The deceased had for many years been a professor in the faith of Jesus, "the sinner's friend," and held membership in the Christian Church in this place. In all the relationship she sustained with her fellow mortals, she acted the part of a true Christian woman. A faithful companion, an affectionate mother, a kind neighbor, a warm hearted friend, and a devoted Christian, she passed from labor to reward, leaving a large family and many friends to mourn her untimely departure. But we sorrow not as others which have no hope, for -
She has gone from trials and sorrows below
To the land where the rivers of pleasure flow;
She has gone from the trouble and trial of earth
To that region where joys everlasting have birth.
