Ida May Ewald Linville was born four miles east of Russell, on March 2, 1882. She passed away at her home in Russell October 10, 1924.

She was the tenth child of Nicholas and Catherine Ewald. She graduated from the Russell grade schools and attended high school here.

At an early age she was converted at an Evangelical protracted meeting conducted by Rev. Ellett, soon after becoming a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.

She was united in marriage to William Linville of Russell, Iowa, March 8, 1919.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, her aged father, four brothers, Nicholas, Herbert and John Ewald, of Russell and Albert, of El Paso, Texas; four sisters, Emma and Jennie Ewald, Mattie Lodge and Carrie Sprague; a step-daughter, Juanita Linville, of Russell and a host of friends.

Ida had always lived a Christian life, was a kind, loving daughter, sister and wife, and will be missed by all who knew her. To know Ida was to love her.

Funeral services were held at the Russell Methodist church, Sunday, October 12, at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. Walls, assisted by Rev. Archie Beals.
