Peggy L. Wilson, 71, died Monday, March 31, 2014.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Westview Christian Church with Pastor Ron Kohler and Charlie Cox officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Peggy was born May 30, 1942, in Amarillo to Bayless and Orene Hunsucker. She was raised in Amarillo, and she attended Palo Duro High School. She worked for Amarillo Heart Group, where she retired after many years of employment.

She enjoyed traveling, dancing, music, jewelry and the company of good friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joel Wilson, in 2006; and a special niece, Tamra, in 2010.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Pope and wife Kentra of Amarillo and Kevin Pope of Abilene; two stepsons, Roger Wilson and wife Carman and Ron Wilson and wife Tina, all of Amarillo; two sisters,
Janeice Jack and husband Sonny of Amarillo and Betty Jo Gable of Wylie; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her very close friend, David Wilson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
