April 23, 1885 - Storm Lake Pilot - Died at her home in Scott township on Thursday evening, April 16th, 1885, of lung fever, Hannah, beloved wife of E. Barber, aged 22 years and six months.

The funeral services were held at Storm Lake April 18th, after which a cumber of sorrowing relatives and friends followed her mortal remains to their last resting place in the beautiful cemetery of Storm Lake. There to await the morning of the resurrection.

She leaves besides her husband, two small children.

She was a kind mother and wife and her loss is greatly, felt throughout the entire community. It is hard to part with a loved one. We can but deeply sympathize with these who are called to mourn, but while her husband mourns the loss of his companion let it be a comforting thought to him that she is done with the trials of earth and that our loss is her eternal gain.
