Anna Kowalczik, 100, of Kennerdell RD 1, died Friday evening, March 2, 2001, at The Caring Place, Franklin. Born Dec. 30, 1900, in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Wasil and Yaca Kovalchek. Mrs. Kowalczik lived in Rockland since 1949 and attended the Franklin Farmer's Market for more than 15 years. She was married to Charles Kowalczik, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Woodie of Kennerdell RD 1; three sons, Joseph D. Kowalczik and his wife, Maxine, of Donnellon, Fla., John S. Kowalczik of Phoenix, Ariz., and Daniel G. Kowalczik and his wife, Sara, of Rockland; as well as nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kowalczik was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Bodnar, and a son, Harry A. Kowalczik. There was no visitation and services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment was held in Rockland Cemetery. The Morrison Funeral Home, Oil City, was in charge of arrangements.
