She married Cyrus West Field on 2 December 1840 in Guilford, Connecticut by whom she had seven children. The 7th child was Fanny Griswold Field, who was born 20 November 1848 in New York City, NY., married James Bruyn Andrews on 16 March 1869 in Pau, France and lived in Mentone, France for many years. Fanny died in Greater London, England on 30 December 1905. Cyrus became famous for his work in spearheading the first transatlantic telegraph cable.

The portrait of her is a chalk work. It was inherited by her daughter, Isabella, who gave it to her son, William Francis Judson Jr. He, in turn, bequest it to Estelle Masser Field, the wife of Woolsey Hopkins Field. Estelle bequest it to her daughter, Rhoda Field Druin Moore in October 1974. After Rhoda's death in 2002, it was donated to the Irvington Historical Society in Irvington, New York on 15 July 2003 by Rhoda's two daughters.
