He was born Oct. 1, 1963 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of William Travis of Rhode Island and Bonnie (Colton) Cho of Hawaii.
Mr. Travis served in the United States Army from 1983 thru 1995 and was a veteran of the Gulf War.
He was a life member of the VFW John T. Murray Post No 1017, Frank Acquavia Memorial Post 1344 American Legion, and the DAV Post No 142.
He enjoyed playing Texas Hold' em with the fellas and sitting on his porch enjoying the weather. A well-rounded individual with a great sense of humor, he'll be sadly missed.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two children, William and Jennifer Travis, both of Houston, Texas; his fiancee, Nancy Smith; one sister, Michelle Travis-Smith of Hawaii; maternal grandmother, Janita Colton of Iowa; four stepchildren; godchildren Randi and Zackery DeLong; and his beloved dog Omar.
