Charles served in the War of 1812. Charles was a veteran of the Battle of Plattsburgh, also known as the Battle of Lake Champlain. He received 50 acres of land for $800, in May 1860, for his services. His wife was Naomi Kingsley (1780-1849). They married 05 Jan 1801, Rutland County, Vermont.

3. Harvey Button (1806-1828) died in Canada
4. Lyman Button (1808-1859)
5. Lucetta Button (1812-)
