OBITUARY:
Geneva Lucille James, age 67, passed from this life on Saturday morning, April 11, 2009 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born on September 25, 1941 in Broken Arrow, OK to John Otis and Mary Jane (Erwin) Pearson.
Lucille was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family. She attended Broken Arrow High School through the 12th grade. In 1979, Lucille moved to the Coweta area from Broken Arrow. She worked as a waitress for 40 years until she retired. Lucille loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was an avid OU fan. Lucille will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
Lucille was preceded in death by one son, William "Billy" Menken, five brothers, Floyd "Speed" Pearson, Jesse Earl Pearson, Marion Clyde Pearson, Ralph Pearson, and Dennis Pearson and one sister, Etta Marie Pearson.
Lucille is lovingly survived by her three sons, Bobby Menken, Richard Menken and Calvin James and his wife, Dana, all of Coweta; her four daughters, Sandy Menken of Coweta, Linda Menken and her husband, Tommy Burchett, of Haskell, Jenny Windhorst and her husband, Brian, of Coweta, and Audra Mosley of Coweta; her four brothers, Amos Pearson of Broken Arrow, Charlie "CD" Pearson and his wife, Violet, of Coweta, John Pearson, Jr. and his wife, Agnes, of Collinsville, and Kenneth Pearson and his wife, Ruby, of Tulsa; her three sisters, Josephine Hunt of Mazie, Macel Bible and her husband, David, of Tulsa, and Twilla Pitcock of Broken Arrow; one sister-in-law, Roselle Pearson of Broken Arrow; fourteen grandchildren, Lacy Menken, Dylan Menken, Dallas Menken, Josh Menken, Kaylee Tolentino, Brandon Hollingshed, Corey Windhorst, Alyssa Windhorst, Caitlyn James, Ashtin James, McKenzie James, Tyler James, Dallas Mosley, and Amber Mosley; one great-granddaughter, Laila Emerson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta with Rev. Chap Replogle officiating.
