James (Jim) Leonard Dungan, 57, of El Paso, Texas, beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin, died on May 31, 2009. Jim was born on May 18, 1952 to Jack and Peggy Dungan. Jim grew up in El Paso and graduated from Parkland High School and continued his education at Lamar. Jim served proudly in the U.S. Army. He had distinguished and enjoyable career with the Department of Justice/BOP where he worked from 1976-2009. James cherished many long lasting friendships throughout his career with BOP, as well as his personal life. Jim also enjoyed cooking, artwork, golf, gardening and spending time with his pets. Jim is survived by his wife, Patty, mother, Peggy, father, Jack, daughters, Jennifer and Robin, his grandchildren, Brianna, Jason and Madeline, brothers, Gary and his wife, Cindy, Tom and his wife, Cindy, and Jackie and his wife, Irina, and many other dear friends and family members. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 pm, Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am, Friday, June 5, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Interment will be at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Cancer & Chronic Disease Consortium, 6070 Gateway Blvd, Suite. 310, El Paso, TX, 79905.
