Aurora Guysinger, a good soldier and a respected citizen passes away. Aurora Guysinger was born in Putnam County Ohio 16 April 1840 and departed this life 11 Feb 1901, age 60 years 9 months and 25 days. He was married to Jerushah Bracey on Feb. 23 1865. T them were born three children namely, Mrs. Mary Swankhouse, Alice Baker, and Charles Guysinger, all of whom are living. He enlisted in CO I 49th regiment and served one year and five months, then he enlisted in Co. M 5th US Cavalry and served one year and seven months. He became a member of the Lindsey Post GAR on Feb. 1 1886. He was in several battles and was true to his country. Thus another soldier has been mustered out of life's duties to answer to the roll call above. About twenty seven years ago he was converted and enlisted in the service of his God with Jesus as his Captain. He united with the Christian Union Church and kept identified with this branch of the church until death called him home. He was a faithful follower of the Saviour, he loved confessing Him at all times and in all place. His death came suddenly yet we have every reason to believe that he was ready and had the Oil of divine grace in his heart. He was a kind husband and father, an honorable citizen, a good friend to all he met, and above all a faithful follower of Jesus. He leaves his companion and children, two brothers and two sisters, and many other dear friends to mourn for him. Yet they do not mourn for those who have no hope. May the kind Father in Heaven comfort the family.
