Private funeral services for Olive Dobell were held Aug 19 at the Braun Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Shfdeler of St. James Episcopal Church officiating. Olive Dobell, daughter of James and Katherine Dickinson, was born Oct. 2, 1891 in Mich. She came with her parents to Washington when a young girl.
They located on the coast and that is where she grew up. On Feb. 23, 1911, she married Ray Dobell at Seattle and they came to Cashmere In 1914. They made this their home until 1950 when they moved back to the coast. Mrs. Dobell died in the Leavenworth Hospital Aug. 17 following a short illness at the age of 71 years.
She is survived by her husband, Ray of Sumner; two daughters, Mrs. John Preston of Ephrata, Mrs Russell Kirby of Kent; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Vanderwall of Shelton; one brother, Mearl Dickinson of Vancouver.
Interment was in the Cashmere cemetery.
