Alfred Edwin Friesenhahn, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2008 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 21, 1929 in Bulverde, Texas, to Alfred Wilfred Friesenhahn and Adele Pauline Schlather. He worked as a driver for Lone Star Brewery for over 30 years before retiring. Alfred was one of the original members of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and a long time member of the Fraternity of the Order of Hermann Sons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards and dominoes. Alfred also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his children, Diana Preiss, Ralph Friesenhahn, Kathryn Williams and Susan Friesenhahn, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his brother A. B Friesenhahn and wife Marjorie Brodt Friesenhahn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held Thursday, February 7th from 7:00 - 9:00 at the Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 8th, 2008 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bulverde, Texas, with Pastor Don Ofsdahl officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Zoeller's Funeral Home.
