January 9, 1930 - Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - The body of Mrs. George Akers, who died in Cherokee Wednesday, January 1, was brought to Storm Lake Saturday and burial was in the local cemetery beside her two sons.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Cherokee. Mrs Akers formerly lived in this community and is known by many here.
She is survived by her husband, two son, and two daughters. One daughter, Mrs. Mildred Wadell lives at Aurelia.
- Storm Lake friends will be sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. George Akers, a former resident, who died at her home at Cherokee Wednesday of last week following a short illness. Mrs. Akers is survived by two sons and two daughters and by other relatives and hosts of friends.
