Major League Baseball Player. Played Major League Baseball as an Outfielder for 6 seasons (1936 to 1939, 1944 to 1945) with the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Giants, and the Chicago White Sox. A backup outfielder for his short career, he played parts of 3 seasons for the Pirates from 1936 to 1938, then in 10 games for the Giants in 1939. He spent the 1940 to 1943 years in the Minors before the Wartime manpower drain gave him another shot in the Majors. He played the 1944 and 1945 seasons with the White Sox, hitting .302 and playing in 130 games in 1945, the most of his career. It was to be his last, however, as the White Sox released him after the season done, ending his career. His totals were 322 Games Played, 273 Hits, 142 Runs, 7 Home Runs, 116 RBIs and a career .276 Batting Average.
