He was born October 14, 1879 in Illinois, but had lived in Pagosa Springs most of his life. He was a member of the Pagosa Methodist Church. His wife, Eliza, died in May, 1961.
Survivors include 4 sons, Elmer of Alamosa, Lyle of Seattle, Wash., Milford and John of Denver; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Leonard of Durango with whom he had resided the past year, and Mrs. Daisy Hughes of Denver; one brother, Bart, of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Holcombe of Seattle; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be in Pagosa Springs under direction of Lynch Mortuary at a time to be announced. Durango arrangements are by Parklawn Chapel.
