Son of Leonard Richards and Anita Warren Richards.

Richard, who resided at 2601 West Seventeenth Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a 1st Lieutenant, Company D, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division, U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

He was "Killed In Action" at Guadalcanal during the war.

He had served in the Marines for one year and five months at the time of his death.
