Paula June (Redman) Tarter Floyd Edwards
Paula J. Edwards, 65, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on June 8, 1943 in Nancy, the daughter of the late Leonard H. and Ruth Johnson Redman. She was a retired executive assistant for Crane Plumbing with 38 1/2 years of service. Mrs. Edwards was a very active member of Piney Grove Baptist Church #2 in Nancy. She was also a member of the Piney Grove Ridge Runners Homemakers Club and the Red Hatters. She was of the 1961 graduating class at Nancy High School.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Richard Edwards, whom she married on September 26, 1996 in Nancy; two sons, Donald Wayne (and Janet) Tarter of Nancy and Aaron Ray (and Carrie) Floyd of Science Hill, Kentucky; a stepson, Bryan (and Amanda) Edwards of Somerset; a brother, Timothy (and Sandra) Redman of Wilmore, Kentucky; grandchildren, Nathanael Wayne Tarter and Colin Andrew Floyd; step-grandchildren, Emma Edwards and Brayden Edwards; and a niece, Megan Redman of Wilmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Bud Floyd and Carrolton Tarter.
Visitation for Mrs. Edwards will be Sunday, May 31, after 6 p.m. at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Ky. 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Hall and Bro. Murrell Corckett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
