Funeral services for Mrs. Gussie Bell Clark, 84, were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 1992, from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Little Rock, MS. Rev. Rodney Duke and Rev. Richard King officiated. Interment was made in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Clark passed away on Saturday, June 27, 1992, at the Leake County Memorial Hospital in Carthge, MS, following an extended illness. She moved from Little Rock, MS and had lived in Carthage for the past 12 years. She was member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Carthage.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lois Nicholas, Meridian, MS and Mrs. Fae VanWye, Carthage, MS; two sons, Mr. Roger Watson, Little Rock, MS and Mr. L. B. McKenzie, Omaha, NE; two sisters, Mrs. Donia Dorman, Philadelphia, MS and Mrs. Era Chesney, Little Rock, MS; two brothers, Mr. Malcolm Watson and Mr. Romain Watson both of Little Rock, MS; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Richard Crenshaw, Mark Triplett, Bubba Smith, Dale Quick, Shane Nicholas and Jeff Nicholas. Honorary pallbearers were the great grandchildren.
