Death of John Grayson Cecil, a well known resident of Newbern, died yesterday at his late home in that place aged 71 years. He had been in ill health for some time and more recently his condition became more serious and his immediate family called to his bedside. The funeral is being held this afternoon at Cecil Chapel, after which the body will be interred in the family burying ground. The deceased was a Confederate Veteran and a man esteemed by a host of friends.
