Alan F. Jones, II, 40, Indianapolis, passed away on May 31. 2009 at Methodist Hospital Indianapolis. He was born on April 19, 1969 in Indianapolis to Alan F. Jones Sr. and Lynda Turner Jones. He married Teri L. Chapman on April 6, 1998 in Indianapolis and she survives.

Alan was a 1996 graduate of the Law Enforcement Academy and was a Sergeant for the Speedway Police Department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #86, lifetime member of the Wayne Township Fire Department, part-time school officer for Decatur Central and formerly active in the Decatur Fire Dept Cadet program and a former reserve officer for the Clermont Police Department.

Survivors include wife Teri L. Jones; sons, Alan B. Jones, Aaron M. and Brandon M. Wilson; father, Alan F. Jones, Sr.; mother and stepfather, Lynda and James Jones; brothers, Brian A., Andrew J., J. Warren and George J. Jones; sisters, Brittney L. Jones and Lainie Killings.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, in Plainfield Christian Church, 800 Dan Jones Road Plainfield, with calling from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Chaplain Rick Kassel officiating. Burial will follow service in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Contributions may be made to the Alan F. Jones Family Fund co Hall-Baker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 718 Plainfield, IN 46168.
