She came with her parents to Loup City, Nebraska the year 1880 by way of a covered wagon. A years later she came to Sargent, Nebraska where she has made her home ever since.
She joined the Christian Church in the year 1886. On January 23, 1889, she was united in marriage to Milo H. Moore of Sargent, Nebraska.
To this union two daughter were born, Keo Shively and Fannie Huss both of Sargent.
Mr. and Mrs. Moore celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on January 23, 1939 at which time their children and grandchildren were all present for the occasion. At the time of her death Mr. and Mrs. Moore had been married 63 years and 8 months.
Mrs. Moore was a charter member of the Valley Queen Rebekah Lodge, No. 154 of Sargent.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 25 in the Methodist Church at Sargent with Rev. Paul Harris presiding.
Interment was made in the Sargent Cemetery. Besides her loving husband, two granddaughter, Lucile Holmes, Milburn, Nebraska and Wilma Johnson, Summerfield, Ohio; three great-grandsons, Martin Johnson, Stephen and Royce Holmes. She also leaves to mourn three step-grandchildren, Irene Young, Nona Gibson and Leonard Shively; and a number of nieces and nephews and a hose of friends.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
She was a wonderful mother, always so loving, gentle and kind, and considerate of everyone concerned. She never complained during all of life's strife and struggles. She was everything that God could give a family to make a loving home complete.
