She was preceded in death by; her son, Donald Ray Walters; her husband, Neil Brooks Lane; and 8 siblings, Laverne Carswell, Maxine Ross, Juanita "Margie" Nail, Earl "LeRoy" LeForce, Eldon "Donald" LeForce, John Alvin LeForce, Samuel Ray LeForce and Kathryn B. Lipp. She is survived by: her daughter, Anita "Jeanne" Russell; 2 grandsons, James (Jim) Neil Russell and Travis Walters; and three siblings, Violet (Vi) Alma Leforce, Gracie Laura Creason and William (Bill) Harold Leforce. She is also survived by: her daughter-in law, Donna Walters; son-in-law, Paul (Bob) Robinson Lanier; and many nieces and nephews who she loved as if they were her own.
Jeanne was a highly intelligent woman, master bridge player who loved and tenderly cared for animals. She valued hard work, education and family and friends. She enjoyed life to its' fullest before suffering a stroke which left her paralyzed on her left side. She had an adventurous spirit and a unique personality. The world has lost a bit of color with the passing of Betty Jeanne Lane. She was much loved and will be missed by all that knew her and whose life she touched.
