Thomas Hawley and his siblings, Joseph, Hannah, and ELIZABETH (also my ancestor) came to America early on a ship in the Winthrop Fleet. They were the children of JOSEPH & KATHERINE (BOOTH) HAWLEY of Parwich, Co. Derby, England.

He married (1) Emma who during child birth on November 11, 1651, and (2) Dorothy Harbottle/Harbittle Lamb, widow of Thomas Lamb, on February 6, 1652 in Roxbury, Mass.

He was an early settler of Roxbury and was killed by Indians while serving with Captain Wadsworth at the Sudbury Fight in Mass. Bay Colony during the King Philip's War. His place of burial is unknown.
The Irish Charity in 1676 sent a thousand pounds to the families of the slain in 1676.

Thomas & Emma Hawley were the parents of Thomas Hawley, Jr. born November 11, 1651.
