PORTLAND (AP) - An open cockpit sprint racing car bounced into the air after striking a crash barrier at the Portand Speedway Sunday, killing the driver.
Everett Bud Cavett, 32, Eugene, was killed in the accident, the third in three laps of the sprint car race.
Two earlier accidents had stopped the race after the first and second laps. Cavett was killed on the third lap.
