Vernon Laker "Toots" Christison, age 83, died July 14, 1992.

Born January 27, 1909 in Eureka, Utah to Otis Theodore and Elizabeth Knotts Christison. Married Thelma Irene Robinson August 19, 1931. He worked for Kennecott Copper for 10 years and was a casket maker for 37 years. In his retirement years he spent many hours working with wood, building novelty items. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren greatly. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.Survived by his children, Mrs. Alvin (Beverly) Yocom, Pleasant Grove; Gerald and Rose Christison, Magna; Paul Christison, West Valley City; Mrs. Hal (Janice) Dial, West Valley City; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; brother, James O. Christison, Murray; sister, Mrs. Art (Claudia) Baxendale, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by his wife, Nov. 24, 1976.

Services will be held 12 noon, Friday, July 17, at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South. Friends and family may call Thursday, July 18, from 7-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
