Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Wilken, 75, of Danforth, were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in St. John's Lutheran church of Danforth with Rev. R. S. Kolberg officiating. Burial was in St. John's cemetery.
Pallbearers were Henry Madison, Albert Bull, Randall Goldenstein, Herbert Henrichs, Henry Gerdes, and Ervin Conrad. Music was furnished by Mrs. Roger Wilken, organist, and Ronald Armstrong, Vocalist.
Mrs. Wilken died Thursday (Aug. 28, 1969) at 8:30 p.m. in her home. She was born Sept. 3, 1893 in Danforth, the daughter of Melchert and Nancy Rieken Janssen. She married Nov. 10, 1930 to Gerhard Wilken, who survives.
Mrs. Wilken was a lifelong resident of Danforth and a member of St. John's Lutheran church.
Survivors beside the husband are two sons, Gilbert Wilken of St. Charles, and Homer Wilken of Clifton; a daughter, Hazel Wilken of Kankakee; three grandchildren and two brothers, Nelson and Claus Janssen of Danforth.
