Heinz Werner Schulz, age 85, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.

He was born on January 13, 1924 in Magdeburg, Germany to Hermann and Margarita (Schnurbusch) Schulz.

Heinz grew up in Germany and after WWII, he was married to Aline Lachetzki on September 7, 1946 in Germany and they immigrated to the United States.

They resided in Oroville, Washington for many years where Heinz worked as a orchardist working for various orchards along with operating his own orchard.

For the past 15 years, Heinz has been a resident of Burlington.

He enjoyed music and singing, hunting and fishing and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Heinz is survived by his wife, Aline Schulz of the family home in Burlington. 2 sons, John Schulz and his wife, Bonnie of Camano Island and Mark Schulz of Issaquah. His grandson, Andrew Schulz and his wife, Shannon of Gig Harbor and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Rolf; a son, Steve and a daughter, Siegrid.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 11:00AM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington with Pastor Leon Meyer officiating.

Interment will follow at the Burlington Cemetery with a reception to follow at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements and Services are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
